New Administrator/Executive Director named for the
Charles Village Community Benefits District Management Authority


Baltimore City, Maryland - The Board of Directors of the Charles Village Community Benefits District Management Authority (CVCBDMA) announced today that they have selected David T. Hill as their new Administrator/Executive Director. Mr. Hill, who currently lives in Sacramento, California, will move to Baltimore City and join the CVCBDMA staff on October 30, 2006.

“During this interim phase of the CVCBDMA many positive changes and improvements have been made,” said Odette T. Ramos, President and CEO of Strategic Management Consulting who provided executive transitions services.

“After an extensive search process the Executive Search Committee unanimously recommended Mr. Hill for the position,” said Jeff Millard, a Board and Executive Search Committee member. “We believe Mr. Hill’s experience is what we need for our continued improvement and long term success.” The Board of Directors agreed with the recommendation and approved Mr. Hill’s appointment at its most recent Board meeting. A Meet and Greet reception has been scheduled for November 14th at 5:30 at the Village Learning Place.

Mr. Hill has over twenty-five years administrative and management experience in government and nonprofit organizations. For example, he was Executive Director of the Dekalb Workforce Center in Dekalb County, Georgia and also Director of the Dislocated Workers’ Program in Fort Worth, Texas. Most recently, Mr. Hill was a consultant; conducting program and human resources audits for state and local government agencies. He is the author of a manual on nonprofit governance and administration.

Mr. Hill was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His father was a career military office and he attended secondary schools in the United States, Europe and Asia, graduating from Surrattsville SHS in Clinton, Maryland. After serving in the Air Force for four years, including a tour in Southeast Asia, Mr. Hill attended Temple University in Philadelphia where he received both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. For twelve years, he lived in Powelton Village, a Philadelphia community similar to Charles Village.

Mr. Hill and his wife Kathryn have been married for twenty-six years. They have two sons and four grandchildren, ages 7 and 5 years, and 18 and 19 months; their fifth grandchild is due in early March.
