So, is anyone else going crazy with this sewer project? It goes down 27th Street and this week they are tearing up 27th at Guilford by my house. It's absolutely horrible! I work from home and at several times during the day, the whole house shakes. We were given no notice about this by the city (only those located within 100 feet of 27th Street were according to the Peabody Heights Assoc.), and luckily we were both home when they started yesterday, as when they are drilling, the house shakes and things started to fall off walls and move on shelves, some of which were family antiques. Luckily we were home so that we could grab these things and put them away. Not to mention that the shaking of the house will cause damage to the foundation, I'm sure. I see that the Community Law Center has offered to help but I wonder if our being more than 100 feet away (just barely) matters.
