Christine: Check out www.baltimoreunique.com for Unique Indoor Comfort which promotes central air conditioning for homes with hot water or steam radiator heat. Evidently, they specialize in doing this in older homes in a way that does not involve installing ductwork. They claim to use 2" flexible tubing woven through walls and ceilings, around studs etc, with visible small round outlets in every room. They give free estimates. Their local number is 410-760-2121. I just came across their promotional material while I was working through a "to do" pile. After you get the work done, whenever that may be, please share your experience. I would like to get this done myself.
