Wouldn't this duplicate the discussion/chat lists?

Subject: You Can Now Send Messages Using Nixle!
Hello Nixle Members,
YOU NOW HAVE THE ABILITY TO SEND TEXT MESSAGES AND STORIES TO THE
NEIGHBORS ON YOUR BLOCK, OR TO YOUR ENTIRE COMMUNITY!
Nixle is excited to introduce to you a new and exciting feature. You
can now share information with your neighbors or with your entire
community. Nixle’s new messaging service allows you to send all types
of information, ranging from neighborhood news and events to
recommendations and classifieds.
Your new Community Information Exchange allows you to stay connected
to the neighbors and community groups that are important to you.
To take a quick look at how easy it is to use your new messaging
tools, visit www.nixle.com.
As a registered user of Nixle, you are the first to be able to start
using your new Community Information Exchange. Log into your account
and you will see a button that says “Send a Message”. Simply click on
the button and start connecting. After you click on “Send a Message”
you will see an option that says “Public Profile”. Here you can choose
how you would like to be listed in your community. For example, if you
are a coach you can list your team name, or if you are your homeowners
association representative, simply list the name of your homeowners
association. Your neighbors, group members, or community residents can
then opt-in to receive any of the information you post.
· Want to share your thoughts with your friends and neighbors?
· Do you coach a community sports league and want to send a
message out to your players or parents?
· Are you a member of a community group and want to let
everyone know about an upcoming event?
· Are you a citizen journalist with an opinion you’d like to
share and want to get a conversation started in your community?
Well, what are you waiting for? Nixle it!
Of course, you will still receive trusted alerts and advisories
directly from your local police department and official agencies by
text message, email, and over the web.
As always, the entire service is FREE and easy to use.
To log into your account, go to www.nixle.com and enter your username
and password. If you have forgotten your password, simply click on
“Forgot Password”.
We would also ask to you forward this email to 5 friends, neighbors,
or family members and encourage them to register to Nixle and then
encourage 5 of their neighbors or friends to do the same. This will
help to build stronger, safer and more connected communities
throughout the country.
Start connecting in a way like never before. Nixle-It!
