To those residents who are concerned about Crime Prevention and Safety in
Charles Village:
Attached please find the notice of CVCBD Quad Rep Nominations due October 9
and Elections to be held on October 12. As you know, the CVCBD Board
voted several years ago to limit the amount of budget funds to be spent on the
Benefits District Safety Program. In fact, the CVCBD Safety Program has
dwindled from the 9 Security Guards plus supervisor, it had in 1995 to the 0
security guards and 1 Safety Coordinator today. So if you care about Crime
Prevention and Safety, please run for the Quad Rep position in your Quad and/or
attend the Election on October 12 to elect a Quad Rep for your area who
cares about Crime Prevention and Safety. In order to make Charles Village
safer, we need to have people on the CVCBD Board who will strengthen the CVCBD
Safety Program. And we need to show up to the Quad Election in full force.

NOMINATIONS for QUAD REPRESENTATIVES
To the CVCBDMA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Eligible Nominees must meet one of the following:
· A resident of the Quad that they want to represent and registered to vote in
that quad or;
· Owner of a property in the Quad they want to represent that is subject to the
property tax surcharge or;
· Be a representative of an owner of property which is utilized for commercial
purposes if the individual is a tenant of the owner, a corporate officer or
partner of the tenant of the owner, or a business representative or agent of
the owner, and the owner authorizes and designates in writing the individual to
represent the owner on the Board

Eligible nominations may be submitted via:
Regular mail addressed to: Quad Nomination, 2434 St Paul Street, Baltimore, MD
21218
Hand Delivered to: CVCBD Office at 2434 St Paul St, Baltimore MD 21218 or Mr.
Jason Pyeron Chairman of the Governance Committee at 10 West 24th Street.
Regardless of means of transmission, nominations must be received by: 5p.m.
Saturday Oct. 9, 2010
Emailed nominations will not be accepted since nominees must sign the
nomination form to verify their willingness to be nominated.
The Annual Quad Elections will be held on Oct. 12, 2010 at SS Phillip and James
Church 2801 Charles Street. Registration begins 6:00 pm; meeting and speeches
begin at 6:30 pm; elections begin after speeches. Voters may vote between 6
and 7 pm or until after the speeches whichever comes last.
Each resident, business owner and property owner who is present and over the
age of 18 has one vote for a representative from his or her Quad. To vote
and to determine your Quad, you must present a photo identification and proof
of property ownership or residency within the Benefits District
