Kelbie Roofing charged $8000 and included all new flashing. gutters etc. and some demolition and rebuilding of the roof on the back of the house. I could have had the old layers removed and disposed for another $2000 but decided against it.
This was for a thicker membrane and longer lifetime and warranty than another estimate I had for $4000. The less thick the material, the less it costs. There are probably better deals but I was really desperate at this point and my neighbor a few doors down clearly had a great roof so I asked who had done the work for them and contacted Kelbie. The Jim McDonald disaster cost me $2500 for one-third the roof (ended up being about 10 feet in reality--he thought I would never go up there to see) which all had to be taken up and redone after it finally rained a few times.
