I installed ikea cabinets in my wife's house before we were married. It was pretty straightforward, didn't require too much skill, and it was *a lot* cheaper than any of the other options. The only difficult part was making rectangular cabinets fit into a space where neither the walls nor the floor were exactly square. Lots of shims and caulk.
