Subject: wind energy electricity now available through BGE

Just got an email today and signed up for the new wind energy electricity
option for BGE customers. It's a new company called Ethical Electricity
founded by a former senior MoveOn.org leader, backed by some serious green
venture capital. They sell Pennsylvania wind farm electricity to BGE, but only
when customers sign up to get this wind-generated electricity instead of BGE's
mostly fossil-fuel based power.

Here is a link to sign up that gets you (and me) a $50 credit:

https://ethicalelectric.com/referral/go/GreenLocal

You have to be willing to pay 10-20% more for your electricity -- their price
per kwh is currently 10% higher than BGE's, 11.5 cents/kwh instead of 10.5
cents. But that's a small price to pay to support the transition from coal-
and gas-powered electricity to wind and solar.

It takes about 60 seconds to sign up -- you just fill in the online form with
information from your BGE bill, and BGE takes care of the rest, and you get
billed on your BGE bill just like you do today.

It would be great to find out down the road that Charles Village has become one
of the highest concentrations of green electricity consumers in the state!
