Hi All (especially Bill)

Some of you may remember that a few days ago I wrote describing the
problems I was having, trying to get OpenGL (both 701 and 602) to run on my
Linux system.
Well, I had the opportunity to try it on a number of systems, and on the
basis of what I saw, I am now pretty sure it's a 64-bit problem.

All tests with j701 gtk (yes, I'm converted now)
All graphics Nvidia GeForce cards, between 7*** and 8***

Efforts to get it running under Ubuntu 64 (10.10 and 12.04) on two 64-bit
machines all failed.
I got it running on a twin Xeon with Ubuntu 10.10 32-bit
I also got it running on a twin Atom with Ubuntu 10.10 32-bit (Samsung N150
- unspecified built-in graphics on this, but it works!)
Attempts to get it running on a 64-bit twin Opteron, running 32-bit Ubuntu
(10.10) also failed!!! So I am pretty sure the snag lies in the hardware
as well as (perhaps) the software libs.

Anyway, that's just FYI, I now have a machine that works for me (even if
it's not my main box), so I can get on with it.
Would be nice to see the Linux 64-bit problems sorted out at some stage
too, though!

By the way, IF anyone is running it successfully on a 64-bit Linux system
(of any description) please do let me know your specs!

Regards
