Wrong again.
Safari is not the problem. Rather the problem is my own lack of information
regarding how JHS works with browsers. It turns out that emptying Safari's
cache restored and setting the css for game.screen{ display : block;}, as
Bill had suggested, made the text all visible. I had a hard time finding
the cache emptying option in Safari because it is not in the same location
as other similar options.
I also learned along the way that using two different browser's
simultaneously with JHS produces is mysterious. That's about all I can say
for now.
