Here's some "APL forums": http://forums.parallella.org/viewforum.php?f=37 https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/comp.lang.apl http://forums.dyalog.com/ http://forum.apl2000.com/
There's also a freeware version of APL: http://savannah.gnu.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=7782 In terms of raw language power, I think J beats the other versions of APL. APL has been around for a long time and it is not going away. But neither is J. J has a bit more of an academic focus than APL, but for that to pay off we need more textbooks, and high quality treatments of topics people find interesting and useful. But that's enough for now, for me: I need to get back to doing some C++ debugging so I can figure out how (or remember how - I have a vague memory of going through something like this exercise before) Morrowind NIF Quaternions are stored and how that relates to the the information presented in nif.xml. Sometimes it seems like nothing worthwhile is ever easy.
