To get around the lack of monospaced font in Gmail/Chrome i use the extension
Fixed Width Text for Gmail(tm) For Firefox likely there are several options eg using stylish, HackTheWeb, or CustomizeYourWeb to apply new CSS specifically to the desired URL.
