If the repo can be opened up: I think there is no limit on read-only
users, so they can fork out a repo for themselves, and we could do the
write access via email patches
(http://alblue.bandlem.com/2011/12/git-tip-of-week-patches-by-email.html).

An other option is use a distributed approach and work hierarchically
in subteams of 5, where each one has a 'captain' syncing to the
top-most repo.

Anyhow, I think it would be sensible to think out a branching workflow
already now (per feature, or per person or whatever).
Then , I don't quite know about the weight of the repo and updates if
we are going to sync up and down every obtained result...
Maybe that's something for a separate branch or so?
Quite frankly, I haven't had too much experience with colaboration via
git. I tried to introduce it at work, but in the end, I am the only
one using it :/, even though we collaborate on projects. It's just me
doing the merging and versioning ... so any ideas or proven-to-work
setups are welcome.
