Can I get feedback on my try at Devon's box characters, please?
Devon's message comes to my Chrome, gmail account in proportional spacing,
though I seem to remember months ago being pleased to see messages with
nonproportional spacing. I have produced this message after changing my
Chrome preferences to all Courier New fonts, and I pasted the code into the
message using Shift-Command-V on my Mac (to eschew extra line feeds).
('hi';'ho'),('off';'to'),:'work';'we';'go'
┌────┬──┬──┐
│hi │ho│ │
├────┼──┼──┤
│off │to│ │
├────┼──┼──┤
│work│we│go│
└────┴──┴──┘
9!:6''
┌┬┐├┼┤└┴┘│─
9!:7'+++++++++|-'
('hi';'ho'),('off';'to'),:'work';'we';'go'
+----+--+--+
|hi |ho| |
+----+--+--+
|off |to| |
+----+--+--+
|work|we|go|
+----+--+--+
Btw, I saw Marc's suggestion to use userstyles.org but his message implied
to me that such only effects the creation of messages, not the reading of
existing messages. I assume there is a difference, right?
Also, to repeat, my newly created message reply here looks very monotone
font, but Devon's message appears proportional spaced.
Thank you,
