I don't think this has been posted here before. I just got through this talk by

J gets a little mention in the Q&As, around the 1 hour mark. As someone who 
knows no APL, the talk was interesting,especially the mnemonics for remembering 
the APL symbols (Log is a" log cross-section" etc). However, I don't think 
enough was shown about the benefits of using APL over any other language / 
system. Kromberg could have elaborated on the types of problems APL solves 
more, and why it might be better to use APL over other options in these cases.
