(one never knows)

Interesting - but considering the change we have seen, maybe no more amazing
than

JVERSION
Engine: j901/j32/raspberry
Beta-g: commercial/2019-05-29T13:57:08
Library: 9.01.07
Platform: Linux 32
Installer: J901 install
InstallPath: /usr/local/lib/j901
Contact: www.jsoftware.com
   10 timex '%. 100 100 ?@$ 0'
0.0265445

I switched to 100 by 100 because the time result is somewhat less than the IBM
390 mainframe in 1990. Although the processor does have a much larger RAM and
more disk storage than the 3090, would fit inside a cigarette pack, and cost
$35 (well the price is a little above that when you count in the SSD storage).

Maybe you don't have your ring yet, but can you imagine laying your phone or
watch down on the table in a 1990 business meeting?

Even in that "recent" past the technology would have been indistinguishable
from magic... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clarke%27s_three_laws

And to ponder, the rate of change seems to keep increasing. ;-)
