In my opinion, back in the day, the biggest problem (not the only problem) with COBOL was that it cost several thousand dollars to get a license for it,. (This is no longer the case, with gnu cobol.) But I have heard jokes about padding line counts, also. Nowadays, in my opinion, the biggest problem with COBOL is that it doesn't have opengl bindings.... > And then came HTML and CSS!
