Please define "child pornography". Is the picture of a nude kid on
the beach child porn? (legal in most European countries) A 14-year-
old having sex? (legal in many European countries) What about
fictional text? Is the sentence "Charleen, a 7-year-old girl, was
sitting on the couch masturbating" child pornography; would one
commit a thought crime by thinking such a sentence? What is the
difference between fictional and non-fictional child pornography?

Are we talking about sex, or are we talking about violence? Why do we
tolerate pictures of violence committed against children while not
tolerating pictures of children's sexuality, even if expressed
completely in absence of violence? In the cartoon series "South Park"
a schoolchild named "Kenny" is killed in every episode, usually quite
brutally. This is completely legal (and most people on this list
would probably not want it to be illegal). Yet, if the children in
the series weren't either committing violent acts or victims of
violence, but having sex with each other, it would be illegal and an
outrage. Why?

What is the difference between "good pornography" and "bad
pornography" and how does one spot it?
