Hi all,

Just a quick one to let you know that the FreeWeb project is now on Sourceforge.
The new site, complete with regular news updates and a web message board, is at (of course) http://freeweb.sourceforge.net

FYI, the release of FreeWeb is stimulating a lot of interest in Freenet, with many new nodes going online each day.
Many supporters of internet privacy/anonymity/free speech are coming out of the woodwork.

FreeWeb will be going open-source Real Soon Now - any developers fluent in Visual C++, KDE, Mac, Windows to Unix porting, or any combination of these are invited to apply to join the project.

Many of the Slashdot crowd were pissed off that it's windows-only at the moment, so I'm really keen to see a KDE-based GUI version come into existence.

Lastly, the DNS registry daemon is running white-hot to keep up with the rate of new site submissions.
The FreeWeb site list is visible to non-FreeWeb users at the regularly-updated MSK site at:
or
(if it doesn't come up now, try again - DBR, you see :) )

Cheers
David
