Well.  Nice to see that everyone else on this mailing list was as stumped
as I was, I suppose. :-/

In case anyone's interested, I did the bonehead thing and replaced the
symbolic links with actual copies of the files to which they pointed
and then reran PutFiles.  And what-do-you-know, it worked.  Or at least
it got past the initial file scan and started working... maybe it will
even finish some time today.

So this would indicate a bug in PutFiles, wouldn't it?  Or a bug in
Freenet maybe?  Not that I'm complaining... but if there's a bug I'd
like to make sure it's reported properly and gets fixed someday.

Oh, and when it does get fixed, I'd like to reclaim the space in my
$HOME.... ;-)
