Hi all,
I've written a new command line request client,
using only FCP.
It's called 'fcpget'.
Doesn't need Java, or the
serverAddress.
Can be run from any directory.
At present, there's only a Windows
version.
But if people want, I'll port it to *nix (it's
almost portable anyway).
Excellent chance that if it runs on Cygwin, it'll
build and run ok on *nix.
This client is not particularly exciting, but it
does work a little faster and quieter than the frequest.exe java CLI version,
and allows you to name a file for metadata to be written to.
Download it at http://freeweb.sourceforge.net/fcpget.zip
'fcpget -h' will give you all the dirt on
it.
Bug reports and feature requests - please email me,
thanks.
BTW - no 'new format' metadata support yet - only
old stuff - I'll add new metadata sometime around 0.4 Freenet
release.
Cheers
David
