Laughable subject matter - but here's my worth of pension funds concerning
W. Eric C. Ferguson's comments
>Are either of these examples
>'bad' or 'worthless' because they do not occur with your musical preference?
+ No examples are bad or worthless but usually what we have a problem with is
forced listener experience. That would be equal to something like spam.
The only way to fully transcend from forced listener experience would be to
move out in the wilderness somewhere, focusing on self and forgetting every
shit-note you've ever heard. FLE not only pollutes (subjective) your mind
it also
changes your behaviour (usually towards an anticipated societally approved
rhythm). It will effect every person exposed. And his or her thought and
behaviour
pattern will then effect you.
>Why should every piece of music have to have a profound
>mental/psychological/spiritual effect on the listener anyway?
+ why should it not!? turn it off if there's no effect!
if you love popup windows then let them hang there while you transcend and/or
enjoy the comforts of true normal funk.
> I would assert
>that music of any genre that has a non-destructive effect on the listener is
>a positive thing.
> And no, music that maintains the status quo is not
>destructive.
+ by this rationale, no music is destructive. I'll go with that.
> The status quo, us 'greedy, selfish, and totally normal human
>beings' make it possible for people such as yourself to lounge around
>expressing your brand of art and music by supplying the economies of the
>world with goods and services.
+ Too deep to comprehend. Your implying that we're all involved in the free
market somehow. mhm, you could be onto something.
Where do 1 go for confessions?
> Yay. Every dollar you do not have is one I can get. Why does not
> 'selling
>out' make your music any more important?
+ This is difficult. A tiny few percentage of artists & nonartists (I dunno
who Einstein is so this does
not include him) feel that the mainstream approach of things is a nogood
representation of what it really is, so they will continue to make their work
as inaccessible (hidden structure or structure not understood by populous
at large) as possible
because if they don't their work will be dead.
or even worse, executed to pieces. The photon didn't even choose a route it
disappeared long before anyone began to talk about the blimp.
Selling out would be something equivalent to killing your entire family and not
commiting suicide afterwards. Some artists & nonartists think that that is not
selling out, so like I said it's alot more complex than you think.
> Why does not pursuing commercial
>success heighten your positive effect on society?
+ Selling out and commercial success are two different things.
Kmart is the Avantgarde. Positive effect is, again subjective.
> Einstein did incredible
>work as a patent clerk and then went on to get paid for similar work.
> I have nothing but contempt and pity for the rich and famous celebrities.
>They have nothing to offer. They are always in the press and the media.
>But why? There's nothing to tell, nothing to learn.

> Now I am going to make a broad generalization based upon my

>know your kind. You and many like you are the same.
+ But not bad and worthless I hope! I am the same!!! I just wanted to learn
about the
force and become a jedi like my father! that's all man. what the hell
>"so you go around claiming to be 'fucking the system because it
>sucks!."
+ all systems fail - get with the program bob.

+ Crazy Musician Love Bush!
>The 70's brought us environmental lunatics raving about global warming,
>global cooling, and the complete end of all the world's oil supplies. Guess
>what! None of this has happened. We are obviously not out of oil as we just
>keep finding more. Global warming? Not quite.
+ Dunno about oil, but climate change is yes sir - under way. if your experts
say it aint so, well happy doodoo - experts can claim that elephants levitate
during bathroom visits but that don't matter if you're standing beneath
their poop canals. If shit doesn't make a dramatic turn during our lifetimes
then you and the swedish musicians will witness some pretty heavy weather.
Bruce Springsteen sure as hell knows about it.
>No
>one in the USA really gives a damn about what other nations think of them.
>We have money and missiles.
+ So does China, yer gonna be owned. bigtime baby! GI JOEKO ANAL

>I'll tell you something. If I were a terrorist, I would bomb the recording

+ For terrorism Exit 13's "societally provoked genocidal contemplation" is
a better
way to go.
>Besides, I thought you respected all
>human life? "Believed in the brotherhood of man and woman who was ideal
>enough to respect all people," or did I misinterpret that?
+ 2 seconds ago we were not cynics, but right now we are. we did it
because we want the world to be a secure place.
don't kill your brother if the fridge fails.
> I will never buy pay for a record, CD, tape recording. And I make my own
>recordings. People are invited to buy it from me, but if they bootleg it or
>"steal" it , I say "Great! Keep it up!" I'm all for it.
+ right fucking on. this is freenet. keep the ethics out of freenet.
>--
> I think it would be hilarious if someone stole your music and/or

>used them for commercial gain.
+ is the line above changed in any way? Is it faked? Did I post the line
amongst
twenty maxcash banners? Will I benefit? Maybe. Still who the fuck cares.
If this guy is hardcore into ripping, then he should fucking acknowledge the
fact that there's a great likelihoodlum that he'll be ripped.
Somone will benefit, even the victim.
> I cannot imagine how you would not feel a
>little pissed about this, even if just for a second.
+ I'd go bonkers and sample madonna and run as fast as I could. Probably
join an underground
community in Beirut for a while and just lay low.
> No recording company, agent, etc. has ever done anything for me. I know.
>I have given ALL OF THEM many chances to take me on. All have refused.
>Fuck them all.
+ This conclusion should have been reached before letting them test you.
>--
>If I want a recording I go out and get it. I don't pay for it. I refuse.
>--
> Cool. Theft! I think it is so pure of you to COMPLETELY SCREW an

> Fuck the rest. If the world rejects me, fine. I refuse to stop. I

> Good! That's the way people achieve greatness is by not letting
> themselves
>get taken down by those who would stop them. But eventually great people
>must accept that the world operates the way it does and no one man is going
>to change it tomorrow.
+ I beg to differ. Never Accept. Refuse, Resist - don't play bass for
sepultura.
Don't try to be great, just be true. wear nike or any other shoe.
>--
> And I refuse to be beaten and destroyed by the world and his brother.

> No one is out to get you.

> You are more of an obstacle to yourself than
>anyone could ever be. Your deep-seated hatred for so many things mundane

>But I rejoice because homo sapiens will never be allowed to destroy life and

>--
+ There are rules. E & MN are as good representatives for guardians as any.
>Actually, I think physics forbids it. We cannot create a great enough force
>to destroy all matter, at this time. Gaia, Mother Nature, and the Goddess
>all take a back seat to force.
+ Force is, MN is. Man's not so good potential, also is.
>--
>Enough of this rant. Fuck you all for having no respect for art, for
>artists, for musicians, for poets, for painters, for actors, for writers,
>for humanity. Fuck you all for not respecting the teacher. Fuck you all
>for not respecting the nurse. Fuck you all for being greedy, selfish, and

anyway.
