I just installed Freenet on Linux for the first time. After downloading it, I sat down for what I thought would be a long and excruciating hack session. As it turned out, it was almost a shock that it was so fast and easy :) The hardest part of getting it going was finding where the IBM jdk RPM put the java executables - had to do a 'find / -name java' to find those. Compliments to the Freenet Linux release developers :) David PS I'm having a friggin battle trying to configure Linux to work with my Alcatel Speed Touch USB DSL modem. Can't seem to find a PPPoATM enable kernel patch that actually works with the Mandrake 2.4.3 kernel source tree :( - it's gonna take me days, with support, to get that going, whereas it took about 85 seconds to get it up under Windows. Some good things *can* be said about Windows. _______________________________________________ Chat mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.freenetproject.org/mailman/listinfo/chat
