Not possible. Even if we did implement some form of pointer redirect scheme, it would be floodable just the same as pushing data to datastores is - push your own thousands of bogus pointers. I'm not saying that something like this won't be possible in or after 0.7, but I am saying that it would still be floodable. The only long term defences against flooding, apart from a few design issues, are: - A big network.
