The $100/$200 laptop is about to become available
for $400 on Nov 12, I believe. My understanding is that
beginning on that date if you buy two laptops, you get to
keep one and the other is donated to a child.
After reading about the laptop at the link above, I
have begun to think about getting in on this "deal" and
wonder if others in this list have any such plans. If so,
can you tell me why: re there any practical uses for us
grown up children?
It sounds to me as if it could be used in
a wireless home as a sort of web surfing tablet; is that
correct?
There is a usb port, so is it likely that J could
be installed on it? With the special interconnectivity
between laptops, could multi-person games be played on it,
and could they be written in J?
