I am being "pressed" into constructing a 'Bucky Ball' as a garden ornament.
Primary material would be the small sized (about 1/4 inch) copper water pipe that comes pre-coiled at about 36 inch diameter; the coil diameter would be used to establish the basic ball diameter and I will set up a jig to fairly accurately cut the pieces; which will (with flattened ends) then be pin jointed. Assuming a coil/ball diameter of 100 I need to find the chord and arc lengths for the pentagons/hexagons. I have been trying to extract the information from the Bucky Demo script but am not having much success ... help would be appreciated.
