Optimally, yes:

for an array process, which most of J is based around,

adequately, probably not:

N processors at > 50% usage proficiency is better than 1 at 100%.

However, that does NOT mean the task of implementing such is trivial within
J.

(Albeit IMOHO, it should be so as long as high levels of optimality ar enot
required).

But to do so and keep it reliable is again a separate question.

(I just happen to have a high opinion of the folks at J;
ergo, I am in favor of such; but that doe snot address
any separate question of Jsoftware internal personnel resources:

not a trivial question to address).

However, it is a GREAT exercise in learning J to restate an arbitrary J
algorithm as a unirform
(or non-uniform) partition
on a pipeline or other model
to ALLOW this to occur ...

When you can do this, you WILL understand J AND
not "parallel" processing, but rather:

computation/mathematics not dependent on serialization.

[[Evil leer]]:  I leave it as a trivial exercise for those so inclined...
