J only uses one core, unless you run multiple instances of J.

However, if you want to be using your system while you run a virus scan
and with anything else going on (like, maybe, running microsoft's current
OS -- which should perhaps be assumed if you needed to be running
virus scans) then two cores might not be enough.

Anyways, here are one, two and three simultaneous J sessions running your
expression on a quad core system (64 bit, so memory use is higher -- also
on vista while running a virus scan):
