They look pretty, but I have trouble making sense of the information presented.

For example, on http://cs.stanford.edu/people/mbostock/iv/dependency-tree.html

...what depends on DataList?  And, what does RadialTreeLayout depend on?

Put differently, what am I supposed to glean from this mechanism?
