There are some excellent free resources on today's internet. Wikipedia
is one. J is another.

The model that is emerging to support such philanthropy is on-line
voluntary donation.

I'm a retired person of limited means. I make no money from J (...yes,
Undead Tree makes a tiny bit, but all its profits go to charity,
http://www.undeadtree.com/charities.htm). So I cannot find the money
suggested as a "minimum reasonable amount" -- at least, not in one go.

But if JSoftware were to provide a PayPal "donate" button, I for one
would be pleased to click it now and again. This is something that
could be set up straightaway without pondering it too much.
