I routinely access the HTML texts of the J Help system on my iPod. The
Vocabulary page, in particular, is one of my frequented bookmarks.

Oleg described a simple technique for accessing PDF documents, if that's
your preference.

I have thought about various possible apps that would work well on the
iPhone class of devices, and I have the hardware and software it would take
to create them. What I lack, at present, is adequate incentive. I've decided
I'd rather put my J hours into coding J, rather than into coding Objective
C.

Since you have a lot of interest, let me mention that if you own both a
modern Macintosh and either an iPhone or an iPod you, too, have the hardware
required to develop any iPhone app. The software is free, available directly
from Apple.

Again, my sense of it is that there's so much to learn, with J, that it
makes more sense to put time into the existing documents than to create new
documents or automated tools to help the learning process. If your sense of
opportunities differs, I figure you'll be more inclined to create new
materials.
