I have kept a J7 server on one machine and nothing else for some time now. It is interesting to test that I communicate with that server from several machines.
Those other machines I have restarted opened and closed browsers etc and I can always see the same ijx from all the machines. It is actually a very new experience because in J6 and before you just run J on one machine at a time and if you need to move around you need to copy scripts etc and any time you need to service a machine and restart you need to restart everything. By dedicating a machine to J7 you can count on it always to be open. Quite an interesting side effect. -- Björn Helgason, Verkfræðingur Fornustekkum II 781 Hornafirði, t-póst: [email protected] gsm: +3546985532 sími: +3544781286 http://groups.google.com/group/J-Programming Tæknikunnátta höndlar hið flókna, sköpunargáfa er meistari einfaldleikans góður kennari getur stigið á tær án þess að glansinn fari af skónum /|_ .-----------------------------------. ,' .\ / | Með léttri lund verður | ,--' _,' | Dagurinn í dag | / / | Enn betri en gærdagurinn | ( -. | `-----------------------------------' | ) | (\_ _/) (`-.
