Actually it wasn't as bad as that... She was an absolute bunny, and I'm not too bad myself ;) but it was purely work-oriented. I was given to understand I was exceeding my brief in attempting to tell a documenter how to present the material. And as for drafting her an example: quite beyond the pale. Like telling your chauffeur how to drive in heavy traffic.
The whole time I was in NJ, in all walks of life, I felt I was being tricked into an elaborate game which had nothing to do with getting the job done. How do these people think they're going to get to Mars, or win a war in Afghanistan? I watched a program recently on BBC about birds of paradise in New Guinea. I was mentally back in NJ and my heart bled for the poor put-upon males. Sorry... I don't expect -- or want -- any sympathy from most of the readership on this list.
