I thought (not at all sure, though!) I paid SIGAPL membership dues
about a year or two ago. (Yes, I'm aware they're now a chapter of
SIGPLAN instead of a separate SIG.) However, I never really received
anything as a member (NO "Quote Quad", for example, even though
receiving that is really why I wanted to be a member). And even if my
memory is faulty and I didn't become a member immediately, the
"official" statement is "Subscription is a benefit of SIGAPL
membership, but APL Quote Quad is also available to non-members as back
issues."

Six months ago I finally got around to trying to purchase back issues
of "Quote Quad" to add to a 25-year run I managed to purchase a while
back. The "Quote Quad" web page (http://www.sigapl.org/qq.htm) states
(even today):

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Request a Publications Catalog or Order Form, or mail your order with
payment or purchase order, to:

      ACM Order Department
      P.O. Box 12114
      Church Street Station
      New York, NY 10257 USA
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Ah, ordering from the ACM itself! You can imagine my shock when my
inquiry letter was returned by the US Postal Service, stating:

        RETURN TO SENDER
        BOX NO LONGER SERVICED
        HERE

What?! The ACM Order Department gone? Is the ACM teetering on the
brink of disappearing?

The ACM web site seems to indicate otherwise, but I see no way of
purchasing back issues of anything. I'm sure many or most of you are
members of SIGAPL. How do I purchase back issues of "Quote Quad" from
SIGAPL or ACM? I really would like to get hold of these.

I'm talking several years' worth of back issues: vol. 32, no. 1 to
present (based on the QQ web page, it appears that vol. 35, no. 3 may
have been the final issue, but I'm not sure of that). I'm really
serious about acquiring the more recent volumes and issues (I believe
one or two issues each year were "conference" issues, and I'm including
them in this request as well), so if any of you are willing to part
with these, please contact me.

Whether from SIGAPL/ACM or from you, I'd really like to fill in the
"missing" issues noted above. And, if anyone would like to dispose of
volumes 1 to 5 (not sure if too many people go back that far), I would
be very interested in acquiring those as well.

Thanks in advance for any info you can share!

Harvey
