I found this article on the web, which shallowly "explains" the new "turbo" 
technology being implemented by Intel and AMD.

It caught my attention because the author is basically saying that with the new 
multi-core CPU's, they have built in technology which would boost single 
treaded application (i.e. J) performance by shutting down the other core and 
overclocking one core.

I know that there have been discussion with support for multi-threaded 
processing but this technology would improve performance now with no changes to 
current J codes.
