That is a very good database. Few year ago, I made quite a number of suggestions to its then odbc driver maintainer, Vladimir. His programming ability is excellent and produced an excellent odbc driver for firebird. J worked fine with this database via his odbc under both window and linux.
It is a pity that he resigned from the firebird team.
