I agree, any day now, all these problems will be solved...... :)

I am astonished to report that a cut and paste of 
the APL below works on my iPod Touch. That is, I 
can copy it from email and paste it into the note 
pad, or another email, and the APL characters are 
displayed "correctly".

The APL does look a little like a ransom note 
because the characters are all different sizes 
and face weights - but the glyphs are 
recognizable ones (well, a little guessing is 
required for reverse). I don't have a clue how 
this is even possible...

Of course, my old/ancient version of Eudora on 
the Mac makes something of a mess of it - but 
more modern clients such as Apple Mail and 
Thunderbird seem to do OK with it - and it even 
looks (a little) less ransom-notish....
