I'm putting two of my nephews through college. One is going for a Computer Engineering degree and the younger one is going for Computer Science.
So last night, the younger one had to do around 35 simplification as course work. Actually the 3 of us work for more than an hour on items. Now the problem is that it's been decades since I was in school so validating our work was basically an argument. ;) Then I had this idea of trying it out in Wolfram Alpha and put in: (12x)/(6x^2) And wow ... it got us the right answer which is 2/x ... so we started putting in the formulas to check our work and there were a few errors in my solutions. This is my first legitimate use of Wolfram Alpha. :P r/Alex ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
