i think i got myself mixed up.. (v. rusty) HTML uses uses the JAR files, so javascript is independant of JAR files. (But i guess javascript can communicate with the JAR via html?)
in my imagination, i had a java compiled verion of J wrapped up in a JAR file and accessible via javascript. The (vague) idea being that J would then be available as a number brain for management by javascript in Adobe Air.
