it's really a matter of style rather than anything else.

plus: i really don't like the email type system. It feels like the 
keyhole surgery equivalent of dialogue.

I *much* prefer the bulletin board type system where the history of the 
thread of a subject is exposed in its entirety and available to peruse 
at leisure.
