J can run in native mode on many machines and operating systems.
If you want to run it in a native mode on a machine not yet
supported/compiled on you can get the sources and compile it.

You can set up J servers and let several computers be connected at the same
time.

It is possible to let one computer serve many different ports.

It is also possible to let several computers see the same log - which is
something I find quite fascinating and several computers can thus see the
same things at the same time.

There are many more options to set up and use and there are several
solutions and there are also all kinds of workarounds and options.

Never before have the choices been so many and so powerful and you will
have many years of new things to learn and enjoy.
