Yes, using fiddler is a good idea.  (Right now, I do not even know if
the problem can be reproduced with fiddler, and that is embarrassing.)

I did manage to get access, and tried to reproduce the problems both
in chrome and ie (ie 9).

I was not able to reproduce the 5 second delay in chrome.

I was able to reproduce it this delay in ie 9, when I was switching
between multiple windows/tabs (for example, save/run in a file window
followed by execute sentence in an ijx window).
