Changeset: 580f262525e3 for MonetDB
URL: http://dev.monetdb.org/hg/MonetDB?cmd=changeset;node=580f262525e3
Modified Files:
clients/Makefile.ag
clients/conf/config.rpath
clients/configure.ag
clients/src/mapiclient/Makefile.ag
clients/src/mapilib/Makefile.ag
Branch: default
Log Message:
Change configure to directly depend on some packages.
configure.ag: drop use of AM_MONETDB_TOOLS and AM_MONETDB_LIBS, use
separate includes instead, as needed. Change checks to pkg-config
checks where possible. Use AM_ICONV to detect iconv support properly.
conf/config.rpath: necessary for AM_ICONV
Makefile.ag: include conf/config.rpath, for AM_ICONV
src/mapiclient/Makefile.ag: don't need socket support, link against
iconv only for mclient
src/mapilib/Makefile.ag: use openssl includes/libs from pkg-config

+# The environment variables CC, GCC, LDFLAGS, LD, with_gnu_ld

+
+# Known limitations:
+# - On IRIX 6.5 with CC="cc", the run time search patch must not be longer
+# than 256 bytes, otherwise the compiler driver will dump core. The only
+# known workaround is to choose shorter directory names for the build
+# directory and/or the installation directory.

+# All known linkers require a `.a' archive for static linking (except MSVC,
+# which needs '.lib').
