The attached patch changes the behaviour of the JoinCapability and
QueryCapability so that they return NO_JOIN and NONE when they encounter a
server which emits an illegal value.
While this means being liberal in what we accept and more tolerant of possible
server bugs, it might also be considered a Bad Thing (TM). I needed this for
testing against a particular server, but if you do not want to include it, I
will understand.
