But I guess the objective of having the "Code of Conduct" is

 1. To help retain people who do come to the meetup.  We want to provide
    people an escalation point, and ensure that corrective action is
    taken.

 2. To indicate that we are serious about such misconducts. So that
    if there is somebody out there who feels unsafe coming to the meetup,
    the Code of Conduct, might help shed their apprehensions.
