  If you don't mind about restarting the server, I think logrotate is
  fair enough.

  cherokee_logrotate is a bit more complex to configure, and in your
  case, it won't provide you new functionality. It's meant to be used
  on very high traffic hosts that shouldn't be down a few seconds
  while the log file is moved.
