Hi guys,

As you may know, the upcoming version of Cherokee includes a new
theme enabled version of the dirlist handler.

Basically it allows you to customize the look of the pages that the
handler generates, adding new CSS styles or images. The main aim of
this feature is to make the listing pages integrated with the rest
  of your website.

Ah! by the way, for those of you who may be worried because the
performance of theme management feature, do not worry, it is not
  slowing down the speed, actually.

If someone wants to take a look at it, the first testing theme is
  already committed (thanks Pablo):

It's death easy to write new ones. Basically there are four parts:
the header, the pattern for each entry of the list, the page foot,
and eventually a CSS file. That's all.

So, here you have one of the new little pearls that we're adding to
the development branch (potentially Cherokee 0.6 in a few weeks).

  Enjoy! :-)

PS: There is no need to say that new themes and bug reports are more
  than welcome.
