Nice count on me for that project....

I remember the talk here in Bolivia about the Java licence do you ?
¿ Quite exiting isn't ?

Hi folks,

As you probably know, I've been working on a administration GUI for
Cherokee which is meant to be included in the 0.6 release.

So far, I wrote everything using Python and the GTK+ bindings, which
seemed to be the best option at the time that I began.

Yesterday announcement of Java GPL licensed made me think that it
may not be the best approach though.

As long as we support Windows and MacOS X, it may make more sense to
develop the GUI using Java rather than Python plus the GTK+ binding.
It would make it easier to use on those OSes, it's Free Software
from now on, and widely deployed.

  What do you think guys?

PS: Remember that it's just a administration GUI that you will use
time to time to reconfigure the server, that's all. Everything else
(the server, the libraries and the plug-ins) will remain being
written in plain and fast C. :-)
