192.168.0.30 - - [21/Jul/2005:21:00:16 --500] "GET /notfound HTTP/1.1"
301 0 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.8)
Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4"
is what you get when you use the example redirection and the redirection
target does not exist.
Handler redir {
Rewrite "/(\d+)$"
"http://www.inguide.com:1080/inst/photogallery/viewphoto?photoid=$1"
Rewrite "/(\d+)/cmts"
"http://www.inguide.com:1080/viewcomments?photoid=$1"
Rewrite "/(\d+)/delete"
"http://www.inguide.com:1080/inst/photogallery/admin?photoid=$1&method=delete"
URL http://www.inguide.com:1080/notfound?url=
}
and then the redirection starts again and again and again until the
redirection limit is reached. It seems to me that if the default URL
fails, it should give a 404 response.

The result of the duopoly that currently defines "competition" is that
prices and service suck. We're the world's leader in Internet
technology - except that we're not.
