Umh, that is not good. Please compare the results from what you would
get from the Cherokee 0.8 packages, as I shuffled some of the logic
around to simplify the maintainer scripts. I might have somehow goofed
up.

Now, just to bring to your attention: Cherokee _is_ currently (and has
for a long time been) available in Ubuntu:

http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=cherokee&searchon=names&suite=all&section=all

It does not list a specific maintainer (it is maintained as part of
MOTU, which AFAIK means "we don't really care"), although they _do_
have some specific (although low-priority) bugs reported:

    https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cherokee/+bugs

The work you are currently doing by hand is basically solved by
getting MOTU to pull more frequently the package from Debian. I do not
think just uploading the same packages to Ubuntu makes much sense all
in all.

As I said, maybe the best course of action would be to co-maintain the
packages in Debian (as I said, I am severely lacking time every now
and then). I could set up a git repository where we could work
from. That way, if you have time to do some Cherokee updates, I will
gladly just review+upload it. Interested?

Greetings,
